The Banding Wheels are made with a cast iron base rubber foot and an aluminium top along with steel ball bearings for smooth easy operation. Banding wheels are excellent Pottery Studio aids. They are used to hold your pottery piece while it is being decorated. The use of Banding wheels is essential to any Potter, because it makes handling the piece from different angles much easier. By having a steady hand, unbelievable results can be achieved in application of line decoration. Our Banding wheels are also marked with concentrated circles, making it easy to centre your piece and smooth rotation capability, due to a ball bearing system situated under the cast iron wheel.

We recommend when using the Banding wheel, always handle the pottery piece very consciously, because even the slightest movement, can cause stress in the clay and ruin your design.

It is also recommended you rest your creation on a wooden bat, which will help stop the clay sticking to the surface of the wheel.
